Dick’s Sporting Goods opened its newest Maryland location in the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre on Friday, March 30 at 1417 South Main Chapel Way in Gambrills. 

To celebrate, Dick’s will host a weekend of Grand Opening festivities featuring celebrity appearances, product giveaways, hot deals, product demonstrations by industry experts, and activities for all ages.

The first 100 people on Friday and Saturday will receive free T-shirts as well as the chance to win 4 tickets and a parking pass to a Navy Lacrosse game, and four tickets to a Navy Football Home Opener. On Sunday, Dick’s will feature a Mystery Gift Card Giveaway for the first 100 customers in line to win $5 to $500.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith and Washington Redskins defensive back Josh Wilson will be at the store signing autographs on Saturday, March 31 starting at 11 a.m., and Sunday Raven’s key defensive tackle, Terrence Cody will stop by from 1-3 p.m.

The Crofton location is 50,000 sq ft, and the 10th store in the state of Maryland for Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Dick's Sporting Goods opens at 8 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and closes at 10 p.m. On Sunday, they open at 9 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
