The Maryland Capitols FC, the newest women’s soccer franchise will begin play in the spring / summer 2012 in the East Mid Atlantic Division of the WPSL (Women’s Premier Soccer League).

With temperatures in the area expecting to soar in the high 90’s and 100's once again this week, Washington Sports Clubs is encouraging Washingtonians to take their workouts indoors to escape the heat. Clubs citywide will open their doors to the public for free workouts every time the thermometer hits 90 degrees through August.

Beginning this month you can work out for free in any WSC facility on days where the temperature tops 90 degrees.

Saturday, July 23 – Sunday, July 31.  Citi Open at the Tennis Center in College Park.  

 

The Citi Open is a WTA International Level event, a designation for only one of three tournaments in the United States.  The event will feature some of the world’s top female tennis players representing a diverse range of nationalities including 17 of the top 100 tennis players in the world.
