Cutting Calories Just Got Easier with Fresh Healthy Vending

Cutting Calories Just Got Easier with Fresh Healthy Vending

When it comes to maintaining a healthy weight, calories in versus calories burned is everything! Losing simply comes down to using more calories than you take in. But did you realize that taking in just 50 calories less per day can lead to an effortless five-pound weight loss per year? It’s true! A pound is equal to 3,500 calories, so if you use 50 calories less per day than you take in, you will drop a pound approximately every two months. And cutting calories on the go just got a lot easier!

“A lot of people are looking for ways to cut calories and get healthy, and now we have an option that will support them in doing so,” explains Jolly Backer, the chief executive officer of Fresh Healthy Vending (www.freshvending.com). “Our machines offer the healthy snack and drink options that people want but have had a difficult time finding on the go, up until now.”

How Handwriting can Improve Your Kid's IQ

How Handwriting can Improve Your Kid's IQ

??B 4 u rd any further grab ur kid’s cell & hide it. (LOL). You may not have to resort to such dire tactics but an October 6, 2010 article in The Week titled,” How Writing by Hand Makes Kids Smarter” indicated that handwriting can improve your child’s IQ.

The article notes a study by University of Wisconsin psychologist Virginia Berninger, who found that writing activated sequential finger movements, which engaged short-term memory, thought and language sectors of the brain.

On a superficial level, those with excellent penmanship were also deemed smarter than those with illegible handwriting, according to Steve Graham, a professor of education at Vanderbilt University. He also noted that neatly written essays on standardized tests like the SAT merited higher scores as well.

On the flipside, technology has made it all too easy to become lax in constructing a sentence and even spelling a simple word. Many cellphones and computers now do the work for us.

Vegetables in Vending Machines? You Bet!

Vegetables in Vending Machines? You Bet!

While it may seem odd at first to find vegetables in vending machines, the country is about to see this not only become a trend, but find out it’s here to stay! This food revolution comes as a result of the vending machine make-over by a San Diego-based company that has franchises stretching from one end of the country to the other.

"People have had enough of all the unhealthy food options. They really want something more nutritious, today,” explains Jolly Backer, the chief executive officer of Fresh Healthy Vending (www.freshvending.com). “Until now, getting something healthier might not have included convenience, which is something else that people want. So we have paired the two in a perfect combination.”
