Superintendent to Host Budget Public Hearing
Superintendent to Host Budget Public Hearing

According to Prince George's County Public Schools:

Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) Superintendent William R. Hite Jr., will host the second of two public hearings for students, parents and community members to share suggestions and priorities for the FY2013 operating budget.

The public hearing is scheduled as follows:

Tuesday, Oct. 25
7 p.m.

Sasscer Administration Building • Board Meeting Room
14201 School Lane, Upper Marlboro

Public hearings are the first step in the budget development process for the 2012-2013 school year, which runs from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. Hite will use input from the public hearings to develop the FY2013 Superintendent’s Proposed Operating Budget, which he will present to the Board of Education in December.

As the school district continues to face reduced revenues, it is critical that all stakeholders in education – students, parents, business partners and residents – take part in the early stages of the budget process to make priorities known and share ideas for reducing costs.
