GSA to Donate Computers to Prince George's County Schools

The following information was sent to us by Benjamin Gerdes: On Thursday, October 20th, GSA’s National Capital Region will donate a truckload of computers and equipment to Suitland High School,5200 Silver Hill Road, Forestville,MD, as part of their effort to help local students build the skills to succeed in the workforce of the future.  GSA National Capital Region Administrator Julia Hudson will join Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards (MD-04); Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III; and Superintendent of Prince George’s County Public Schools Dr. William R. Hite, Jr.; for the official donation of the equipment.

Each year federal government agencies donate hundreds of thousands of pieces of computer equipment to local schools and eligible community groups through the Computers for Learning Program. This event is part of a broader GSA initiative to inform schools in the District of Columbia, Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties and Northern Virginia about the program.
