The following information was sent to us by Daria Bailey:

Prince George’s County, Office of Community Relations (OCR), is registering all common ownership community associations located in the County.  As highlighted in County Bill (CB-15-2007) requires condominium associations, homeowners associations and cooperatives to register with the County through OCR annually.

In the event, an association did not receive the registration form via mail, it is available on the County web site,www.princegeorgescountymd.gov, under the Office of Community Relations, Common Ownership Communities Program.

CB-15-2007 established the Common Ownership Communities Program in the Office of Community Relations to assist governing bodies, owners and residents of homeowners associations, residential condominiums and cooperative housing corporations with education, training and mediation.

Additionally, the county is registering all management companies that provide services to common ownership communities in Prince George’s County.  As highlighted in House Bill

(HB-566-2010) requires all management companies to register with the Office of Community Relations and pay a fee of $100.00.
