SUITLAND, Md. (WUSA9) -- A firefighter was injured by falling debris while fighting a fire in Suitland, Md. Saturday afternoon.

According to a spokesperson for Prince George's County fire, the firefighter has been treated and released from shock trauma center. Their specific injuries were not given.

Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire that involved at least two townhouses in the 4200 block of Apple Orchard Lane in Suitland.

The fire appeared to have started in the rear deck of a home and traveled up the rear exterior wall and into the attic, according to the spokesperson. The fire appears accidental in nature.
