Suitland’s Tanisha Mitchell Gets Fit in Front of Millions

The much anticipated Too Fat for 15: Fighting Back debuted on August 9, 2010 at 7pm on the Style Network.

The show’s conception evolved during a time when research shows children as young as seven-years-old are showing signs of puberty as a result of obesity.

Tanisha Mitchell of Suitland, Md. is already a show favorite.  On her first day at the weight loss boarding school, the measuring tape didn’t even fit around her waist. She was the largest student to ever enroll at the boarding school at 510 pounds.

A girl who needed to be driven to and from the cafeteria, lost 130 pounds by the time she came home for summer vacation.

You can watch Mitchell’s journey to weight loss on the Style Network Mondays at 7pm.
