This weekend Hollywood comes to DC!  Award winning playwright, filmmaker and author David E. Talbert presents his new play “What My Husband Doesn’t Know,” at the Legendary Warner Theater here in Washington, DC from March 1-6, 2011.  David E. Talbert, originally from Washington, DC, is no stranger to Hollywood as a director and producer for theatre, television and film. Talbert remains one of the most creative and prolific minds working in theater today. The premiere of Talbert’s “What My Husband Doesn’t Know,” celebrates his 20th anniversary in theatre.

 

The play “What My Husband Doesn’t Know,” has an all star cast of actors and actresses that are sure to leave you wanting more. This drama filled play stars Grammy Award?winning artist and broadway actress Michelle Williams (former member of Destiny’s Child), who has made her mark with her sassy and saucy performances in “Chicago” & “The Color Purple”. Charming television and film star, Morris Chestnut, known for his role in "The Best Man" and "Not Easily Broken" flashing his million dollar smile, has recently starred in the TV hit series “V” on ABC. Hollywood new comer Brian White has appeared in an array of films including and is best known for “Stomp The Yard”and Tyler Perry’s "I Can Do Bad All By Myself” as well as the award winning TV series Men of a Certain Age. The play also stars Ann Nesby from the feature film “The Fighting Temptations” and famed film and television actor Clifton Davis from “Any Given Sunday” and  “Amen”. 

 

“What My Husband Doesn’t Know,” is a mesmerizing tale of lust, lies and temptation that puts a whole new twist on “fatal attraction”. Lena Summer (played by Williams) has it all—big house, loving daughter and a wealthy husband, Franklin who is so wrapped up in his construction business that the other side of Lena’s bed is often cold. Suddenly, temptation comes along in the form of a young handsome man named Paul.  The story begins...

 

With this well crafted story of love, betrayal and jealousy, "What My Husband Doesn’t Know" is a must see! “You’re going to feel like you’re watching a movie while still experiencing all the magic of the live theater,” said Talbert. The play will be featured at the Warner Theater from March 1-6, 2011.
