Want to go to a museum but don't want to trek all the way to DC?  Check out the Airmen Memorial Museum at 5211 Auth Road in Suitland. 

The AMM, which was opened in 1988 by the Air Force Sergeants Association, pays tribute to airmen and women who have served in the Signal Corps, the Army Air Service, the Army Air Corps, the Army Air Forces, and the U.S. Air Force.

The museum is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M. and features:

  • Artifacts
  • Photographs
  • Diaries
  • Personnel records
  • Letters
  • Books
