FOUND: 10-year-old from Suitland


SUITLAND, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County Police say 10-year-old David Kroll of Suitland, Maryland has been found and returned home in good health.

Prince George's County police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing 10-year-old boy.

Police say David Kroll was last seen in the 4400 block of Arnold Road in Suitland on July 14, at 6 pm.

Kroll is described as a black male, 4'5" and 100 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue shorts, black sneakers with lime laces.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Prince George's County Police Department's Regional Investigation Division – Central Region at (301) 352-1200.

MISSING: 85-year-old Pr. George's man


SUITLAND, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police said Friday night, a missing 85-year-old man from Suitland has been located and is safe.

Prince George's County police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing 85-year-old man.

James Francis Green was last seen in the 6000 block of Maria Avenue in Suitland, Md. at 1 p.m. Thursday, police say. Green suffers from Alzheimer's and may be in need of medication.

Green is described as a black male, 5'3" and 170 pounds with gray hair. He wears glasses and was last seen wearing a white polo shirt and blue jeans. Green may be driving a gray 2004 Honda Element with MD tag 395M826.

Officers in Suitland police-involved shooting ID'd

SUITLAND, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man holding a pellet gun that looked like an assault rifle was shot and killed by police Friday morning.

Julie Parker, Director of Media Relations for the Prince George's County Police Department, confirms two veteran officers responded to a call for a dispute in the 3300 block of Curtis Drive near Overlook Elementary School around 2:15 Friday morning.

Once on scene the officers encountered two men outside an apartment building. One of the men appeared to be armed with an assault rifle.

Md. crash leaves man with serious injuries


SUITLAND, Md. (WUSA9) -- One man has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a vehicle crash in Suitland, Md. Sunday.

Police said the incident happened at Pennsylvania Ave (Route 4) at Quarter Ave. The man in his mid twenties had to be ejected from the vehicle.

Md. police investigate homicide of 27-year-old man


SUITLAND, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County Police are investigating a homicide of a 27-year-old man from Northeast, Washington.

Authorities said they were called to the 3300 block of Curtis Drive for the report of a shooting. When they got to the location they found 27-year-old old Maurice Donnell Featherson suffering from a gunshot wound in a parking lot, authorities said.

Featherson later died of his injuries at a hospital, police said.

Police are trying to find a motive and suspect in this shooting. At this time, deputies do not believe the shooting was random.

MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA9) -- Prince William County police have arrested a woman who they say bit another woman's leg and pushed a police officer.

Bonnie Lu Jackson, 42, of Manassas, has been charged with attempted malicious wounding, assault & battery on a LEO, and domestic assault & battery.

On April 19 at 12:51 a.m., officers responded to the 7300 block of Castle Road to investigate a domestic disturbance. The victim, a 44-year-old woman, reported that she and Jackson were involved in a verbal altercation that had escalated, according to police.

Police say that Jackson assaulted the victim and bit her leg. At some time during the altercation, Jackson grabbed a knife and charged towards the victim. Another person was able to separate the two women.
